Good day to you, madams!  Hello there, good sirs!  Welcome to Trickle Cheddar Dot Com, where lofty dreams are abandoned for realistic goals and consistent action!

Here’s the rundown: My name is Jared.  I’ve obtained two degrees and have large money making potential.  Just like you, I have ambition, passion, and have developed the skills to allow me to be a thriving success in my particular areas of study.  Since you are reading this, I suppose we are also alike in other ways.  We are intelligent enough to understand the true value of our time.  We know trading our time for money is a raw deal, regardless of the compensation.

Can you really tag a price on our limited hours to live this life?  If you are as disgusted with that concept as I am then you’ve probably caught yourself calculating the prices of things you buy in units of hours at your job.  ”Maaaan, this new thingamajig actually represents three hours in my cubicle.”  Or, “I really want to have dinner with my friends, but I have to stand for an extra two hours on the assembly line in that hellish factory to make up for it.”  That, my friends, sucks.

In late 2009, I took an oath to myself to revolutionize my life in all areas and make no compromises whatsoever.  I left a wonderful but unfulfilling and repetitive job for a job where my contributions make a huge impact in people’s lives.  However, I work twice the hours in the same time span.  Still not cool.  But a little better.  This whole active income thing just ain’t working for me though.

I began to observe and analyze my role-models.  They lived incredibly free lives.  They had provided for themselves and their families and were extremely generous to all those around them.  They come and go as they wish, fully relaxed and chill.  I wanted to know how I could have this freedom, ability to contribute, and time to do as I wish.  That’s when I realized what these people had done differently than the rest of us who, unfortunately and sadly, are basically still serfs and peasants.  They took combined risk, massive action up front, and eventual automation to establish a single source of passive income.  Then they moved on to the next project while the rest of us worked as outsourcers!

Online Passive Income

That’s what I want.  I want to be just like my role-models.  But there was another important key: patience.  Their achievements developed over years and years of steady investment of time, effort, and money.  They sacrificed and delayed gratification knowing, instead of having the small ice cream sandwich now, they’d rather wait and have The Big Ice Cream Cone in the Sky.  Thus I’ve also adopted the philosophy that success is in the journey, not the destination.  How you get what you want will definitely effect how you enjoy it when you get it.

So, that’s who I am and what this is all about.  I intend to continue patiently and persistently developing multiple streams of passive income in my life.  This website will be a journal cataloging the adventure of the online side of things.  In full transparency, you can watch me slowly move towards my goal of securing myself financially while finding freedom to explore my interests intensely and completely.

My intention is to share all of the knowledge and resources I accumulate.  This will serve as my contribution, a source of valuable inspiration and information to those who arrive later yet strive for the same: To obtain a steady source of passive online income, or as I’m calling it… Trickle Cheddar!

The Rest of the Operation

Trickle Cheddar is actually a subsidiary of the parent company I’ve founded, called Empire Web Assets.  Empire Web Assets is the umbrella corporation for what will be a three-fold operation.  Trickle Cheddar represents the passive income side of things in addition to some active pursuits as well.  It’s ultimate culmination will be hands-off income.  Under Empire Web Assets is also the application of coding knowledge I am gaining, called Seagull Software Solutions, that will deal in mobile and browser based gaming, automation bots, and other useful and entertaining pieces of software.

The progress reports are frequent and short updates on my activity.  They are more of a method of accountability.  Readers expect them and interact with me through comments.  I cannot let myself down, let them down, or embarass myself by not doing what needs to be done.  (Edit: After over a year, all 70+ of these have been discontinued and removed.)
